“Don't Take everything at face value”, that is what I have learned in regards to photos on the web. Programs such as Photoshop have allowed every day common people such as you and I to take a boring photo taken on a whim and make it into a work of art (if you are talented enough to do so). Now that unsightly pot mark on your cheek is gone, that wrinkle on your forehead – disappeared, and that acne can even be cleared if given enough time. These sound great don’t they, however, ethical issues have come about because of this including false advertisement with skin care products and models not matching up to their perfect magazine counterparts, which can lead to an unhealthy competition with certain consumers to be “magazine perfect”. With so many things in this world becoming increasingly harder to determine if it is fake or not, it is better to just do what I stated first.

Technology affecting the future
Society never seems to look ahead, to look into the future until it is too late. We make and make and make newer and better technologies that are suppose to make our lives easier. While most technologies do make our lives easier we still should consider what these applications and technologies can do if used the wrong way. The generations to come after us are going to be left with super computer capable of more computing power than a human and with enormous servers and databanks full of personal information right at their fingertips. These are great things to have if we use them right, but if the past 5000 years of history has taught us anything, it is that human beings are not always going to play nicely. All it takes is one person to use the information found on google, twiter, facebook, or any of those type sites and future sites to make everyone realize that a wealth of technology will come at the price of lack of privacy.

Computer technology has changed the face of the world in countless way. More information is generated each second and it becomes increasingly easier to share. Society as a whole can’t say too many negative things against technology due to the fact society has interwoven itself with the computer. However, there will always be naysayers. Some think the constant imposing threat of privacy being under attack is a major issue. People want to feel safe and not like they’re being an always watchful “Big Brother”. To overcome these issues however, we as a society need to learn to be more cautious with everything we do online. Read more about what we install, learn how to use the programs properly, and most importantly learn about the safety features being built into most every application now. One quick example is the application Foursquare, where you are logged every time you enter a location that has been previously set up. This could be an issue for people who do not wish to be in the spotlight always. But you can go into the settings and set options that allow more control of who sees you and when they see you, giving you the convenience of the technology and the security of privacy.

inspiration.
One saddening thing I've noticed is that a few people can go through life and never be inspired,causing them to live, truly, "their own life". some might not see this as a terrible thing, however, being your own unique individual to the extent of not stealing or at least borrowing certain ideas can cause you to stand out in a negative way. you can be inspired by a simple song, an pleasing pattern, or even a shot of your favorite drink. none of these make you conform, none of these make you less you, but they all can help inspire you to make beautiful things. inspired things. For everyone that reads this just remember it is ok to borrow ideas, get inspiration from every thing you see. inspiration is all around you. just look around.
