Jesse Ventura and Independent Thinking

After watching Jesse Ventura talk about his beliefs, I feel compelled to write.

"we're arrogant, and we have an arrogance about us...that needs to disappear"

This is a quote from the former governor/actor/writer/wrestler(even) Jesse Ventura. In his quote, he is referring to America as the "us". Ventura has received heavy scrutiny for his independent thinking and the books he has written.

In his books, he gives facts showing how throughout the vast majority of American history, great leaders and influencers have changed and even fabricated much of history for personal and political gain.

He even goes as far as to say that America, Nazi Germany, and Communist have all been apart of the taking over and nation, overthrowing their government, and occupy it. America recently did this with Iraq.

One of the bigger blunders this nation has ever been apart of is the Vietnam War. Ventura has researched much into this and has revealed many wrong-doings on the part of the American government.

First off, JFK. The president that everyone loved, the one that died too young. Ventura even thinks that the presidential assassination was planned and conducted by the government. The vietnam war was still far off at the time of JFK being sworn into office, however, many war profiteers and other money hungry officials saw that the best way to make money is to fight a war. JFK did not see any reason to go into war with a country that had not done anything to us. (reasonably so) So...Ventura says that JFK was assassinated so that Lyndon B Johnson could take office and that would get the ball rolling with a war.

However, how would LBJ convince the entire nation to fight a war that wasn't on our soil or even with a strong ally. Well....to answer that question, you need a lie. YES! A Lie. The united states government fabricated a partly true/partly untrue story known as the GULF OF TONKIN INCIDENT. This simply was 2 separate attacks on US naval ships, in which not a single US casualty was reported. In 2005, the Nation Security Agency (NSA) declared that after research, it concluded that the attacks on August 2nd 1964 did in fact happen..but the attacks on August 4th did no occur.

So, one of the largest and darkest marks on American history, with 58,000+ U.S. soldiers dead, it was all based on a single naval incident that killed none of our men.

Why you ask? ....money.

Same goes for the recent "Pearl Harbor" incident known as 9/11. George Bush wanted a reason to go into the middle east and set up outposts and camps so that we have an easier access point to that area of the world.

Why would we want this? ...money...or more simply...OIL.

George Bush SR. knew that if we could control the majority of the oil in the world (which is in the middle east) then nations such as India and China, who are growing at exponential rates, would have to answer to the U.S. What G.B. SR couldn't do, G.W.B stepped in and took care of.

He knew about attacks and threats coming from middle eastern countries and groups and repeatedly ignored them! He then either had some hand in planning or knowing of the events of 9/11 prior to that morning. He might not have known the exact way it would all pan out but he knew that something was going to happen early in his career that would set him up to make a war happen in the middle east.

Now that we are there, we have no intentions of leaving unless President Obama can convince congress and the rest of America to take out our troops who are uselessly there.

Jesse Ventura points out a very interesting quote from Hermann Goering, who was a famed German politician, military leader, and member of the Nazi Party. Hermann's quote:
I Like this quote I dislike this quote“Naturally the common people don't want war; neither in Russia, nor in England, nor in America, nor in Germany. That is understood. But after all, it is the leaders of the country who determine policy, and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is to tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country.”

The last line is the most telling. "All you have to do is to tell them(the citizens) they are being attacked, and DENOUNCE the pacifists.....for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country."

This is a German Nazi military leader saying this. This is exactly how the Nazi's controlled their subjects and it is how America is controlling their citizens now. It is telling us that we are being attacked every day from "Terrorist"......the "war on terrorism"...

"...denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism...." interesting choice of words, seeing as to how G.W.B enacted the Patriotism Act shortly after 9/11 giving many new rights to the U.S. government as far as privacy issues go...and any one who denounced the act at the time was deemed "Unpatriotic" for not supporting the Patriot Act..

The purpose of the Patriot Act was to protect the citizens by allowing the government into your personal life...just a bit at first..but as more paper work piles up, new resolutions are added, our rights will slowly be taken away....all in good natured intent to "protect its citizens from danger"

However, one of the founding fathers, THOMAS JEFFERSON, said that "Dissension is the greatest form of patriotism"
